The number "350" is used for the number of palms along the Avenue of Palms in several places. I think that might be high. So I photographed the landscape plan that is currently displayed at the California Historical Society.
Some palms were obtained from CNC and some elsewhere.
And, yes, I know. A landscape plan is more like "guidelines" than actual rules, to paraphrase the pirate's code.
Along the Palace of Education section: 25 CI, 21 FP
Side entrances to Horticulture Palace: 24 FP
Along the Palace of Liberal Arts section: 33 CI, 21 FP
In front of the Palace of Manufacturers: 33 CI, 16 FP
In front of the Palace of Varied Industries: 30 CI, 24 FP
CI=120, FP=106
Total is 226, not close to 350.
Latest tally is 84 CI and 104 FP. 13 CI palms were sent to GG park early on. That would be 97, still 23 away from 120.
